The March bird count data is in (as always, many thanks Pauline and Toby for compiling the yearly and monthly lists) from the Braughing Birding Group and Standon Parish Birders and has a headline figure of 91 species visiting the Parishes of Braughing or Standon so far in 2024. Individual Parish totals stand at 78 for Braughing and 84 for Standon.
In March, Braughing birders found 65 species (which can be compared to 64 last month and 61 species in March 2023). Standon spotters faired slightly better in the number of species spotted with a total of 75 in the month, compared to 71 in February.
